Jim Bridgeforth- Safety Tips
Stay lit up while you walk around- use glow sticks, flashlights, or even glow sneakers. (This all just makes the night more fun anyway!)
Travel with a large group. The bigger group the better, as long as the parent/ child ratio is fair.
Many of us parents know that it is important to tell your children to stay close to you while you walk.
We also know that we should tell our children to make eye contact with the driver of a vehicle before crossing in front of them.
But you also need to make sure you watch for cars that might be backing up, or coming out of driveways.
Don’t go into strangers houses.
Make sure you check candy before you eat it.
Jim Bridgeforth gets the best out of Halloween Safely
There is no need to run around across the street or through traffic just for some candy.
We have google maps! Map out your route with your kids before you leave the house.
Wear comfortable shoes!
If you plan your routes and stay pretty organized… I promise, you can get a lot of candy and have a lot of fun!
P.S.
If you’re having an adult Halloween, and/or driving at all make sure you have a plenty of gas in your car!
However, no drinking and driving!

There are a ton of cool candy options that involve nature, and natural gifts and/or candies! If you’re giving out candy to kids you can get all natural chocolates, or natural fruit rolls. There are other things to put in peoples candy bags as well. Good luck beads, mini cookie cutters, acorns. All different fun things we can share with children so they can enjoy the environment and Halloween.
Here at American Power and Gas CEO Tom Cummins and President Jim Bridgeforth want everyone to know. Regardless of how you celebrate, be safe!
