The Best Gift American Power and Gas Received was Giving

Reflecting

It may be chilly outside but CEO Tom Cummins, his executives, administration, and the representatives on the service representatives approach the new year with warm spirits. We hope everyone had a great Christmas and got everything they wanted! As a company American Power and Gas has accomplished so many things this year. We continue to expand, and overcome, so we thought it would be nice to give back during the holidays.

Giving Back

American Power and Gas made deep impacts within and beyond our community the past couple years. The journey is filled with hard work, sacrifice, perseverance, and passion. Last year Tom Cummins decided to donate $100,000 to Toys for Tots. Always having been passionate about the organization and having such a successful year, it was about time. Our employees often ask where and when they can help the non-profit organizations we work with; so we decided to throw a spin on our donation this year. American Power and Gas pledged to donate $100,000 this year, but we also decided to donate 4 hours of our time. On December 22nd 2017 we had a bus rental show up to building, we filled the bus with toys and employees and we all worked together to help make Christmas awesome for children and families!

Why We are Telling You

American Power and Gas employees were tearing up while helping out at this organization. We would really recommend using volunteer work as a team building exercise. Fun was running all through the office this season, we shared cookies and cocoa, we took photos together with masks and a back drop, we had an auction, but the most enlightening, fulfilling, and fun project we did was the Toys for Tots event.  CEO Tom Cummins joined us, and by the end of it all we were completely moved. Some of our employees have been the children or the parents on the receiving end, but today we get to give back.

Check it Out

If you want to see for yourself, check out our Facebook page as it tells the story of what went on, throughout the year, during the holidays, and at this memorable event.  We helped a lot of non-profit organizations this year, such as Frankie’s Friends, Habitat for Humanity, Say No To Drugs organization and more. Out of all of the contributions we have made, the hands on experience we had at Toys for Tots was one of the best! Make a difference in your community, do what you can to help! There are all kinds for ways to lend a hand, with your imagination and some elbow grease and you can change the world.
