The Green Effect: Connecting Green Energy to Green Consumers

NEW YORK – American Power & Gas recently launched a new campaign on green energy and corporate responsibility.  The purpose of the campaign called, The Green Effect, is to promote a new culture among the green energy community while uniting, promoting and supporting green businesses and families.

American Power & Gas provides renewable energy from wind generated power sources. Using nature’s resource, wind is generated into electricity through large wind mills. The power generated from these wind mills is now a green energy alternative source for American Power & Gas clients who chose to sign up for renewable energy plans.

“It is our initiative at American Power & Gas to create a green revolution.  We need to drive down the cost of green energy product, and we can only do that if enough people decide to switch to green energy,” said Andrea d’Agostini, vice president of marketing and public relations. “We want to be the largest green energy supplier in the world. A recent study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology shows approximately 550 people in the U.S. die each day from air pollution. A study released last week from the University of California Berkeley now shows about 4,000 people die each day from air pollution in China.  American Power & Gas created this campaign to help in changing these statistics.

Renewable energy currently accounts for only 13 percent of the overall energy consumption in the United States. Continued growth will provide more affordable options for green energy choices in the business and consumer fields and create a more environmentally friendly living and work space.
