Jim Bridgeforth Green Energy Future

Jim Bridgeforth Believes in Green Energy

President Jim Bridgeforth at American Power and Gas motivates employees to gear our message towards green energy awareness. Wind Turbine technology, wind turbine ability, and turbine reliability has grown immensely since the 90’s. Wind Turbines have increased in size and production and in turn, of course consumers have benefited. Because of periodic break-through on wind turbine technology consumers are paying less for the renewable energy wind turbines produce. Where wind turbines only began at a measly 17m in rotating diameter  and generated 75 wind turbine kw. The coverage and size has grown  into 125m in rotating diameter. And the generation of wind turbines has grown to 5,000 wind turbine kw. Research shows that wind turbines will grow even larger into 250m rotating diameter and 20,000 wind turbine kw.

How Does it work?

President Jim Bridgeforth of American Power and Gas has done his research on green energy, as we help consumers go green. There is a scientific understanding of how wind turbines produce energy; but today Jim Bridgeforth wants to make the concept simple. A simple way to view a wind turbine is like a backwards fan. A fan inside of the turbine uses energy to create wind, and a wind turbine uses wind to create energy. Let’s brakes it down more specifically and everyone can understand. Wind turns the propellers on the turbine, the shaft spins and this creates kinetic energy that gets sent to a generator to be used as mechanical energy.

Kinetic Energy and Mechanical Energy

Kinetic energy is active energy, it is moving energy that has resulted in an initial spark or start-up. When lightning strikes, the sparks that fly from it are a form of kinetic energy. Mechanical energy is built up energy that motorizes items. Mechanical energy make things come to life. It is the act of penetrating energy into something/ an item / material, or anything with matter and generating  activity as a result. These concepts, are a little more complex, but they help portray exactly how the process works.

Turbine Models

There are mainly two different models of wind turbines. The horizontal wind turbine model is built with a long shaft, a rotor and blades, the blades are positioned in an upwind position for best results. Although when we see pictures of wind turbines we typically see the horizontal turbine with the rotor and propellers, there is a vertical-axis design model that looks like and egg beater, but operates mechanically the same. Both are effective in serving their purpose, they are just models.

Green Energy Enhancements

As both mechanisms improve, soon only one model will dominate. The wind turbine model that contains two to three propellers is a very specified structure. Basically if the propellers are too slow, they will stop running and producing electricity, and If the propellers run too fast they will stop running. Developers calculate specific shapes and angles which enables turbines to run effectively. Studies evaluate the effect of building turbines in certain land atmospheres, and peek grounds.

Most Importantly

We need as much data as possible on the best practices for green energy. The long term goal is to provide the benefit of low costing renewable energy, and of course increase production of renewable energy in conjunction. The most important thing is supporting the movement, regardless of the cost for now. As the data and research on renewable sources continues to grow as a result of support and funding, new and exciting innovations will continue to  surface. The more support the movement receives, the more the renewable technologies will improve. This involves discover more sources of renewable energy, more convenient ways of transmitting and storing that energy. Scientist will uncover more attributes to renewable energy that people in society weren’t expecting at all, benefits that weren’t even requested will surface.
